The First Annual Hearts of Texas Awards Luncheon was held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel on February 12, 2007. Ruth Sharp Altshuler served as Honorary Chair.

Former Governor William P. Clements and his wife Rita Crocker Clements were the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Texas Instruments was presented with the Corporate Service Award . This award represents a company that makes a major impact through its philanthropic efforts. Tom Engibous, TI Chairman, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Greenhill School was the winner of the Youth Service Award. This award is presented to a private or public school for outstanding volunteer commitment. Head of School Scott Griggs accepted the award on behalf of Greenhill.
