J. P. Morgan's Day of Service for Soldiers

On June 10, 100 J.P. Morgan executives from across the nation participated in Welcome Home a Hero, a volunteer program to support and greet troops at DFW International Airport as they returned home for two weeks of rest and recuperation. After greeting the soldiers, the J.P. Morgan Executives proceeded to Hyatt Regency where they assembled 300 care packages to be sent to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Care packages included personal care items, snacks, and pocket entertainment devices. Guest speaker and war veteran, Melanie Clemmons, who spoke about her nine years of military service in the Army as a Staff Sergeant. This project was done in partnership with the Volunteer Center of North Texas, which seeks to connect volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to the nonprofit organizations and opportunities that need their assistance.
