The Volunteer Center of North Texas (VCNT) celebrated its 3rd Annual North Texas Volunteer Challenge (NTVC), presented by the Texas Rangers, on September 10, 2011 in honor of 9/11, now recognized as a National Day of Service & Remembrance.  Service projects on that day brought individuals, youth, families, employees, and groups to "lend a helping hand" to nonprofit organizations throughout Collin, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties.  Funds raised will benefit the Volunteer Center of North Texas's service delivery to more than 1,700 nonprofit organizations that represent a vast array of causes.

Because of your efforts, the Volunteer Center's event was recognized nationally as the top 9/11 event in the State of Texas by the Corporation for National and Community Service in Washington, DC.  Many nonprofits and schools now have new gardens, freshly painted walls, new furniture, organized rooms, and more, through your generous donation of time.  We could not have done this without you!
