ServiceWorks!

ServiceWorks! is the result of a collaboration between the City of Dallas and VCNT.  It provides a variety of services focused on volunteer recruitment and management.

Many citizens have been recruited by VCNT and placed in city departments where a Departmental Volunteer Coordinator oversees their efforts. Volunteer options are far ranging and often unique.

This program exists to:

• Bring citizens into city services to see how they operate
• Enable volunteers to contribute to the city's development
• Make effective use of tax dollars
• Leverage resources
• Provide additional expertise to City of Dallas departments
• Involve corporate volunteers and service organizations in their city
  

How To Get Started

Discover Possibilities:

• Check VCNT's "Lending a Hand" column in the Dallas Morning News on Monday or in Quick on Thursdays for ServiceWorks! opportunities
• Submit your e-mail address to receive monthly ServiceWorks! e-mails. Join by using the box to the right.
  

Get Connected:

• Call the ServiceWorks! volunteer manager at VCNT to discuss options; an interview may be required
  

Identify Opportunities:

• If you do not find the right volunteer job for you on the first try, keep checking. Don't stop!
